Journey to Shropshire
It was actually quite a rush to get to Shropshire as we left straight from the Good Friday service. J's school didn't break up until Maundy Thursday and this was the only way we could manage to go to church on the Friday. Sorry friends we sometimes call to see on the way, we didn't have time to call in on you, will another time.
The Good Friday service was a united one for the whole town and was very good. It was preceded by a march of witness which we didn't join.
Anyway we had a good journey apart from getting a bit lost on a snowy hill/mountain (?) where we also encountered a flood:
This was caused by all the melting snow. We decided reversing out of the situation was the best option. What was slightly scary was that as we went back the way we'd come the road in front (that had been behind if you see what I mean) was beginning to flood:
so it was good that we didn't dither too long.
